Charlie asks: I am a white, straight, male fantasy writer with little interest in ancient Norwegian culture and mythology. How far removed from real-world influences does my fantasy world need to be in order to be safe from the no cultural appropriation PC culture?


  1. I will admit questions like this are why I am in a crisis of “why bother writing”. There is no part that isn’t an uphill fight in the best of times, but then all this crap makes me think I should just orally tell my stories to my cats and save myself the work and the pain.
