  1. I found this episode interesting as this is the model I want to follow when I start publishing. There are a lot of platforms where people serialize their stories for free and then link to Patreon for advanced chapters. The one I’m most familiar with is Royal Road. Some of the more successful authors there have Patreon’s earning 10-30K a month. (Of course the average is much less.) a lot of them get a following and feedback there and the publish on KU. It depends on genre of course, the most successful stories on Royal Road are gamelit/litrpg/progression fantasy although others are published there as well. There are other similar websites but I’m less familiar with their content; the give away for free and monetize extras/ advanced also works on your own website, that is the primary webcomic method. the difficulty is getting eyeballs.
